I spoke too soon. I was helping an alliance member in the Arborstone mission and I lagged totally out. Had to "x" out of the game. Guess the problem is not fixed.

It could be some kind of anti botting thing they have or just a routing problem or something but either way it is causing me so much grief i just wish they'd respond in some way.

I think its NC Soft that runs the servers, not sure about a-net. Whoever it is, they need more servers cause theres a hell of a lot more people playing GW now than when it first launched. Back in 2005 when it launched I don't even remember getting one error 007 now this yr. forget it. If they didn't add more servers, what can you except? Sever overloads, lag, etc. I know they cost $$ but hey, do you want your customers to keep buying your games? And be happy, or just piss them off until they had enough and just quit all together. Your call a-net or NC Soft.

well i think if anet can afford to throw $100,000 dollars in prizes at the factions championship winners, they can afford to throw just as much at server issues. don't go customer support, you will be bombarded by uselessness. they will probably to tell you to check your ports, and chances are they're open anyway and have been open for a while. i mean, if this is happening to so many people at once, there's no way its something on our end. Anet isn't having money issues, if they did we'd see more advertising (i.e. I'm wielding a Mcdonald's Cheeseburger of Hungerslaying!) which we dont get any in game ads.

I just got two error 7s in less than a minute, with another just 5 minutes prior - which of course, had to happen while I was monking in Urgoz. These disconnects alone not only equate to my total number of error 7s prior to this past week or so, but make the recent count a whopping dozen, since this problem first emerged during the fun weekend.
I can't really begin to express how frustrating this is becoming. I think it's time for some sort of official comment on this matter...

Tonight I've hit two error 7's, a freeze up that nearly was a code 7 and lag in town that was so bad I had to close the program and reopen and all this was within the past 2-3 hours. Didn't have any sort of problem like this earlier this afternoon or even earlier this evening.
All of these in the middle of very good Vizunah master's attempts which probably would have succeeded had it not been for these time outs.

Had two error 7's tonight also and I've decided to quit playing for the rest of the night. One of my friends also received an error 7 (at the same time I did) and she is all the way down in Toronto while I'm here in California. So I don't think it's a same IP or same network problem.
Before this, I rarely get any lag or error 7's so it has to be Anet's problem. Hope they get their server/network issues resolved soon.

I can't stand the err7's,not even Steam or dare I say Battlenet have dropped me as much.
The real kick in the pants is when you invest time into UW or something only to time out and ultimately lose money, time and patience, and have no recourse of action to take other than emailing support waiting for a response that suggests its your computer or connection thats sub-standard or improperly working, but hey thanks for letting us know.
Do Europe and Korea have this same issue or what?
I'm seriously thinking of NOT BUYING Nightfall,I mean if 2 Chapters can't stay online ,god forbid the lag pit of death the third will do even if they run off seperate servers, they are having such issues with Factions that I can't see how they could possibly be satisfied and confident in a distributing a new product while their current ones are "sub-standard".Lag and being dropped has been my biggest issue with Factions,as I never experienced it as bad in Prophecies,I shudder for the release of Nightfall...fix whats broke first.

It's just this last week that it has been sooo incredibly bad that the game is unplayable. You either lag for 60 seconds and die or lag for 60 seconds and die and get an error 7 as well. Just tried it again. Was fine for two minutes then it happened again.

If you have not yet sent a question to GW support, please do so by going here - http://www.guildwars.com/support/default.php
There is a diagnostic you can run on your system. I attached the copy to my question. I hope to hear something soon, but we will get nothing if only a few people ask.
Please post. I found the link at the login window. Simple way to get to a solution -- hopefully!
I also gave them the link to this thread.

Welcome to LAG WARS people. The err7's just keep coming and the frustration just keeps growing. ANet is strangely silent and loyal customers are questioning the merit of purchasing Nightfall. As far as I'm concerned, Nightfall can rot on the shelves since theres no way I'm purchasing a product which I seriously doubt will be even playable. The game as it stands right now is unplayable!! I don't believe the problem has anything to do with running multiple clients on the same IP. I've been logging both my accounts onto two different PCs on my LAN since the release of Prophecies and have never had any problem until a week or so ago. Now, one or both PCs will err7 or none at all. I get err7's with only one PC up and running on my LAN. I will err7 on my laptop whether its plugged into my LAN or into my friend's ISP which happens to be a different provider in another city in another state. No, the problem is definately ANet's and no one should buy Nightfall until the lag/err7 issue is fixed.

Ok, to update, in the past week or two I've at error 7ned at least 3 times a day, and often people in my group get disconnected at the exact same time. othertimes i'll "rubberband" for 5-10 minutes before back to normal. today I couldnt stay on longer than 5 minutes without erroring out. GW is becoming unplayable.
